Domino’s Pizza – 107 Queensway E. Simcoe - George Karamilev is Domino's Pizza franchisee.
CL Access is pleased to share with our readers and fellow supporters a little bit about this month’s (our first) Business of the Month recipient. Lead by George Karamilev, Domino’s Pizza is a business that truly invests and supports the community they serve. George’s support of CL Access has been astounding, whether supporting our agency through their Pizza Box Topper of the Month campaigns’, sponsoring and helping to sell our Friday the 13th Lottery Calendar, and providing prizes and other supports, George has been there for us when asked. However, the reason we chose to acknowledge Domino’s Pizza is because of Georges’ and his team commitment to Community.
Domino’s Pizza in Simcoe opened its doors to serve Norfolk County amazingly delicious pizza back in 2010. It is currently owned and operated by George Karamilev and his team of skilled managers. George joined Domino’s Pizza in 2008 as a Delivery Expert in Georgetown, Ontario having no idea what his future had in store for him. He worked his way up the ranks to management swiftly. In 2012, a franchise opportunity for the Simcoe location opened up and George was offered ownership then assumed operations.
Georges believes through his team’s continuous hard work, through their partnership within the communities they serve, Domino’s Pizza, have learned how to be exceptional community partners.
Since 2012, George and his Domino’s Simcoe team have been a proud supporter and sponsor of many “not-for-profit” organizations, agencies & community events in our neighbourhoods such as; Community Living Access, United Way, MS Walk, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympics, Simcoe Lights, CIBC Run for the Cure, Terry Fox, Blood Donor Clinics, CAS, OPP awareness events, many sport clubs/associations, fundraisers, raffles and many, many more. In 2017 George was recognized for his community involvement and was awarded “Canada 150 Medal” by the local MP.
In 2015 George became aware of a young lady with health complications and the struggles her family were facing in dealing with these complications and decided to put on a fundraiser to raise monies to give to this local family to offset medical and transportation and living costs. The fearless Dominos team successfully raised over $22,000 for this family on that day!
In 2017, once again for a second time George and his team stepped up for another family with a young person who was very ill. George voicing his appreciation shared; with solid support and backing from the community we were able to raise over $36,000 for this family. Domino’s donated 100% of the store revenue and time leaving them feeling very humbled and privileged for having such an opportunity to help real people in our own neighbourhoods.
This quote from George reflects why C L Access is honoured to have George and his Domino’s family profiled in our first Business of the Month Section; “When people are proudly and courteously served their meals at Domino’s Pizza, they’re not just buying a meal for their self, friends, family or coworkers. They’re also investing in their own community!”
When you visit Domino’s for your next Pizza please say thank YOU on behalf of Community Living Access and the many other great organizations that Domino’s Pizza supports.
