Community Living Access currently employs 100 staff in various positions throughout the agency.

We offer diverse services and support which reflect the unique needs of the people we support in the community.

We are currently hiring new Direct Support Professionals to work in the homes of the people we support. Opportunities include: Weekends – Nights – Part Time – Casual Relief positions. Staff in these positions can work up to full time hours if the hours are available. All new staff must be willing and available to work all shifts, including overnights, weekends and public holidays.

POSTING DATE: June 27, 2022
JOB TITLE: Support Provider 1
WAGE: $18.07 – $19.03
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 4
REPORTS TO: Program Supervisor
HOURS: Up to 60 hours per pay period
START DATE: As soon as possible.
POSTING(S): Schedule is based out of people’s homes at the following 410 Church St. E., Delhi, 67 Queens St. W., St. Williams, 23 Ashbury Lane, Simcoe and 7 Cherry St. Simcoe, and will then be expected to be redeployed/relocated/work in all people’s homes that Community Living Access is invited into to provide support.

It is the philosophy of Community Living Access that the right of a person supported to self-determination is very important. In recognition of that right, persons supported have the right to be involved in the process. Meeting the support needs, aspirations, and desires of the people to be supported plays an integral role in the decision as to who shall be the successful candidate to fill the vacancy.

In addition, the following factors shall be considered when filling vacancies:

  • Skill, ability, experience and education to perform the requirements of the position
  • Where these qualifications noted above are relatively equal, the senior employee shall be the successful candidate

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the supervisor, is responsible for:

  • Performing all the duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the agency vision, mission, and values.
  • Assisting individuals supported to work towards achieving personal goals, relationships, skills, and social roles.
  • Promoting effective participation in the typical and valued life of the community by participating in individualized
    services and supports.
  • Generally, the SP1 provides routine daily supports for individuals for each staff team.

SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Successful Completion of Secondary School
  •  Valid First Aid & CPR certification
  •  Certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention
  •  Valid Class G driver’s license
  •  Threshold competencies of Flexibility, Self-Control, Service Orientation & Values/Ethics.
